The response to the Preschool Development Grant has been very positive. We have reached capacity and are no longer accepting applications for Category 2. Those applications that we have received through February 11, 2021 5:00 p.m. EST will be processed; however, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY COURSES UNTIL YOU ARE PREAPPROVED. If you take courses and you are not preapproved, you will not be eligible for a stipend.

We will continue accepting applications for Categories 1, 3, and 4.

Welcome! PAEC is excited to partner with the Division of Early Learning (DEL). We are happy you are applying for the training stipend. Applying for a training stipend will require you to first complete the Participant Agreement located Here. Please read the Participant Agreement carefully to determine if you meet the criteria to apply. There are four category criteria, these are:

    • Category 1: Regional Education Laboratory (REL) Universal Strand. You are a participant in the REL Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Language and Vocabulary Project Training (Universal Strand) AND you have been pre-approved by the Office of Early Learning for the stipend.
    • Category 2: You are an early childhood educator (e.g., classroom teacher, assistant, or program director).
    • Category 3: You are currently employed with an Early Learning Coalition and certified as a CoP Facilitator. A Certified CoP Facilitator is an individual who has completed community practice facilitator training through the University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning.
    • Category 4: You are currently employed with an Early Learning Coalition and you are seeking the Florida Infant Mental Health Endorsement (FIMH-E®) through the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health. The Office of Early Learning will confirm if the applicant is a participant in the FIMH-E® project.

Any courses or trainings completed prior to PAEC approval do not qualify, unless pre-approved by OEL staff.

To submit the completed Participant Agreement you will need to upload it along with all requested documentation here https://www.paec.org/OfficeofEarlyLearningPartnership.asp. The link will take you to the documentation portal. You do not need to enter a username, but you will need to enter your last name as your password. Please ensure that your agreement and back-up documentation are saved as one document. When you save your document please save it under the following criteria: lastname.firstname.PA (e.g. Maria Jones’ file will be saved as: jones.maria.PA). You will only need to complete and submit the Participant Agreement once.

Your Participant Agreement will be reviewed to determine if it meets all of the requirements. The initial review process will take between 3-4 days (excluding holidays, weekends, and revisions that need to be made by the participant). Please note that if information is missing this will add days to the review process, and ultimately the approval process.

Once the review process is complete, the Agreement will be sent to OEL for approval which will take between 1-2 weeks. You will receive an email from oelpartnership@paec.org informing you if your Agreement was approved or not.

Once you receive approval from PAEC, you can complete your Application for Stipend located Here. Submit your Application for Stipend, along with all requested documentation here https://www.paec.org/OfficeofEarlyLearningPartnership.asp. The link will take you to the documentation portal. You will not need to enter a username, but you will need to enter your last name as your password. Please ensure that your application for stipend and back-up documentation are saved as one document. When you save your document please save it under the following criteria: lastname.firstname.STI#1 (e.g. Maria Jones’ first stipend application will be saved as: jones.maria.STI#1). If you will be submitting additional requests, you will follow the same format but only change the request #. In other words, if you are submitting a second stipend application, your second application will be saved as lastname.firstname.STI#2 (e.g. Maria Jones will save her second stipend request as jones.maria.STI#2). You will need to complete an Application for Stipend each time you request a stipend.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at oelpartnership@paec.org and one of our team members will respond to your email.
